Returns and exchanges

If the conditions are met, the SQDC may, at its sole discretion, exchange a product. A defective or intact product returned to the SQDC may be eligible for an exchange.

In-store purchases

A defective or intact product purchased in an SQDC store may be exchanged or refunded only in an SQDC store, within a maximum of 30 days following the date of purchase. The product may be returned to the SQDC store of your choice and must be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Online purchases

A product purchased on SQDC.ca, whether delivered to your home or picked up in store, may be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup, under certain conditions. A return is possible in the event of a shipping error or if the product is defective or intact.

To obtain an exchange, proof of purchase is required, such as the original sales receipt or shipping confirmation. In the case of a refund for an intact product, only the original sales receipt is accepted. If the product being returned is no longer available, the SQDC will replace it with an equivalent product.

If the product was delivered

Products purchased on SQDC.ca and delivered to your home may be returned to the SQDC store of your choice or by contacting SQDC’s Customer relations team.

Situations requiring specific follow-up may include:

Missing product upon delivery:

Contact Customer relations team as soon as possible. After verification, the product will be reshipped to you or, if unavailable, replaced with an equivalent item.

Wrong product received:

The product must be returned intact, sealed and in its original packaging. It will be exchanged for the actual product ordered or, if unavailable, replaced with an equivalent item.

Undelivered parcels:

If age verification is inconclusive, the order will be cancelled and refunded, except for delivery fees. No refund will be issued if the parcel is not claimed within the timeframe specified by Canada Post or the delivery service provider.

If the product was picked up in store

Products purchased online and picked up in store may be returned to any SQDC location.

Here are some cases where a specific action may be required:

Order error:

We recommend verifying your order at the time of pick up. If an error is noticed within 30 days, please contact the store where the order was picked up. The product must be returned sealed, intact and in its original packaging to be exchanged.

Order not picked up on time:

Any order not collected within 7 days will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

Defective product

A product is considered defective only if it shows signs of mould or if it was improperly produced. The product must be returned unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. When these conditions are met, the product will be exchanged by applying a credit toward a replacement product.

Intact product

To be considered intact, the product’s original seal and excise stamp must be unbroken. The original container must be sealed and show no signs of damage. An intact product may be refunded or exchanged. To obtain an exchange or a refund, the customer must demonstrate that the purchase was made within the last 30 days. For a refund, the intact product must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.


Some conditions and exclusions apply. Sales of accessories are final, except in the case of a defective product. The policy is subject to change without prior notice. The SQDC reserves the right to refuse an exchange or refund in cases of abuse or if a return is deemed inappropriate. The SQDC does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, whether verbal or physical, toward its staff, regardless of the reason.
