Notice of appointment - Jean-François Bergeron President and Chief Executive Officer of the SQDC

Montréal, March 26, 2019 - Holding a bachelor’s in management information systems, Jean-François Bergeron has acquired solid experience in strategic management and organizational development. For over two decades, he has held management positions in the manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and personal services industries.

Known for his leadership and strategic vision, he has a broad understanding of organizations, which has enabled him to successfully take on challenging organizational transformations and major technological shifts for large corporations including Kruger, Astral Média, WSP and the SAQ, where he held the positions of Vice-President, Information Technology, and Vice-President, Supply Chain.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of the SQDC, Mr. Bergeron will head all the company’s operations and ensure it fulfills its mission, which is to sell cannabis with a focus on health protection, the goal being to integrate consumers into the legal cannabis market and keep them in it without encouraging cannabis use.
